KD9 launch new neckers at the start of their 28th year

KD9 Scout Group have been in business for 27 years this month. It has gone from strength to strength over those years and we are now seeing second and third generation youngsters joining the Group as we enter our 28th year. Indeed, the grand daughter of the original GSL is now well established as a Cub.

Her Dad was also a Scout and a leader.

KD9 scouters have been known for their Sky Blue neckerchief but for some years the Groups leaders have been asking for a new design.

So the design has been agreed and the new neckers have been ordered. Still predominently sky blue, they now have a royal blue band with a themed badge to make them unique to KD9. The bird on the design – a heron – is symbolic of our meeting place and Spennells estate road names that link to birds.

We hope to have the neckers in use by St Georges Day parade in April.

Here is an example of what the new neckers will look like:

Leaders will distribute the neckers when they have been delivered to us.
